Hello, I am Katie, owner and Principal Dentist at Woodhill Dental Centre. As a local girl, born and bred in Swife Lane, I qualified in 2013 with a first-class honours degree from Cardiff University, I then spent a year as a senior house officer at the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department at the Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead where I gained invaluable surgical skills. I have since spent 7 years in a prestigious private practice in Eastbourne honing my skills in dentistry, furthering my education and gaining a master’s degree with distinction from the University of Kent. I have also gained further qualifications enabling me to provide Invisalign™️ (clear orthodontic aligners) and I have completed advanced facial aesthetics training at the Avanti Aesthetics Academy in Harley Street, allowing me to combine my practical skills with artistic flare to enhance natural beauty! I am passionate about being a kind, honest and gentle dentist. No question is silly, and no job is too small- I aim to make all my patients feel listened to and comfortable.

I earned my BDS from the University of Birmingham in 2013, and since then, I've enjoyed a fulfilling career in general dentistry, focusing on high-quality, patient-centered care. Having grown up on the south coast, I've continued my practice in Sussex. Throughout the years, I've taken various prestigious dental courses to stay current and ensure that I provide comprehensive care tailored to each patient's unique needs, all within a calm and positive atmosphere. I take pride in my gentle and soothing approach, especially with patients who may feel anxious about dental visits.  

When I'm not at the practice, I love spending time with my young family, traveling, and staying active by participating in fitness competitions.

Hello, I'm Dr Murshid Salman and I graduated as a dentist in 2003. I then went on to do further studies specifically focusing on implant dentistry as well as gaining a masters degree level (Level 7) qualification in facial aesthetics. I am thrilled to provide exceptional dental care with a focus on aesthetics, cosmetic dentistry, and implants.

Implant dentistry is my passion, and I am continuously updating my knowledge and studies in this field. Having been an affiliate member of the Royal College of Surgeons and the Faculty of General Dental Practice, I am committed to staying at the forefront of advancements in implant dentistry. I believe that dental implants offer a revolutionary solution for replacing missing teeth, providing a permanent and natural-looking alternative to traditional dentures or bridges.

I firmly believe in treating each patient as an individual and providing personalised care. I understand that dental implants require a comprehensive approach, taking into consideration factors such as bone density, gum health, and overall oral health. I take the time to thoroughly assess your situation and develop a customised treatment plan that ensures the best possible outcome.

With my gentle technique and meticulous attention to detail, I strive to make my treatments as comfortable as possible. Outside of my dental practice, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and indulging in audio books. I am also a passionate martial artist, having achieved several gold medals on a national level in Jiu Jitsu.

I qualified as a dentist from Guy’s, King’s, and St Thomas’ Dental Institute in 1999. Over the years, I gained extensive experience across general practice, community dentistry, and oral surgery. I then undertook a Senior House Officer role in Restorative Dentistry, where I developed a special interest in Periodontology. To pursue this, I completed a four-year part-time specialist training programme at King’s College London, achieving a Master of Clinical Dentistry in Periodontics and Membership in Restorative Dentistry. In 2008, I was officially registered as a Specialist in Periodontics with the General Dental Council.

Driven by my patients' frequent question, “Is there anything else I can do?”, I expanded my expertise by becoming a fully qualified Nutritionist. This allows me to take a truly integrated approach to patient care, focusing on the whole experience to support not just oral health, but overall wellbeing.

Mr Andy Gibbs

I am an honours graduate from George Brown College, Canada, and the Royal College of Surgeons, England, with over 17 years of experience creating high-quality dentures.

As a clinical dental technician, I personally design and make all dentures at Woodhill, ensuring a seamless and personalised process. Known as the “denture wizard,” I am loved for my caring nature and dedication to patient satisfaction.

Outside of work, I enjoy skiing in Canada and spending time with friends and family.

Alice Parrott

Dental Hygienist

I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from the University of Portsmouth Dental Academy. This has enabled me to gain invaluable information about oral health and the impact poor oral hygiene and disease can have on a patient’s general health.

I enjoy spreading this knowledge, helping people make better, more informed decisions about their health, tailoring oral care to each patients’ individual needs.

After I graduated, I moved back to Herstmonceux where my family live with our many animals. In my spare time I like to relax with my friends and family. I especially enjoy spending time with my Labrador Thomas who enjoys walks on the beach and swimming in the sea.

I have been a key member of the Woodhill team since 2005 and take great pleasure in interacting with patients. I believe that a warm, welcoming attitude is essential for helping patients feel comfortable. Whether on the phone or in person, I make sure everyone feels valued and at ease. My positive personality and friendly demeanour help create a welcoming atmosphere for patients of all ages.I enjoy spreading this knowledge, helping people make better, more informed decisions about their health, tailoring oral care to each patients’ individual needs.

I qualified as a dental nurse in 2017 and joined Woodhill in August 2021.

I enjoy all areas of my job and find it very rewarding helping making patients feel at ease in the surgery.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.

Dental Nurse

I joined the lovely Woodhill team in September 2023. I started working as a dental nurse in 1996 and qualified in 1998. I have always worked in the local area in both corporate and independently owned practices.

I enjoy all aspects of my role as a dental nurse, particularly assisting with surgical procedures such as dental implant placements. I believe in treating each patient with care and consideration, always striving to put people at their ease.

My spare time is spent with my children and husband, walking our dog, and visiting local eateries. I enjoy gardening, linocut printing and crochet!

Part time Practice Manager / Dental Nurse

I have been working in the dental industry since 2009, when I qualified as a dental nurse. I recently joined the team as a joint practice manager, though you’ll still find me in clinic occasionally, nursing. I pride myself on being efficient, kind, and attentive to patients’ needs, always aiming to stay one step ahead. I love bringing a cheerful, reassuring presence to the practice—my goal is to make every patient, even the most anxious, feel at ease.

Georgie Chapman

Receptionist

Hello I’m Georgie, the bubbliest, friendliest receptionist going! I am also Katie’s mummy!

I have lived locally all my life and retired in 2022 from a successful 25 year career in pharmaceutical sales, and prior to that in advertising with Southern FM and Thompson Directories.

I happily help out on reception whenever there’s a need so I can warmly welcome all patients, albeit with a tinge of eccentricity!! It’s lovely to still be part of a fabulous young team and to have the opportunity to keep the brain cobwebs at bay!

I look forward to welcoming all patients to the Woodhill family! It’s a lovely place to be.
